Summer Starts with a Song – Charity Opera Gala in Sotogrande

Summer starts with a song! For those of you fortunate enough to be sunning yourself by the sparkling waters of your Sotogrande Villa, you may be wondering what I am on about. Summer has started already surely? The sun is shining, the golf courses are green and the Chiringuitos are open!

Yet I don’t feel the season really starts until you have an Opening Party and what an Opening Party we have coming up this Saturday 25th July.

Asociación Arturo Darch and Friends are bringing the annual Sotogrande Charity Opera Gala to the Santa Maria Polo grounds for a Magical Night of Opera under the Stars. Guests will be treated to an extravaganza of food and music, including performances by international opera stars, James Cleverton, Nicholas Ransley, Aurore Lacabe and Stephanie Kemball-Read.

Even better, behind all the glitz and glamour, the Gala also has a heart as it raises money for the Josep Carreras Leukaemia foundation in name of Arturo Darch. A silent bid charity auction will take place with some amazing luxury bids so I hope there is room for bulging purses in those beautiful ball gowns!

After the black tie dinner, there is a chance to dance under the moonlight at the After Dinner party and marvel at the bright lights of the fireworks display. All in all, it is set to be an amazing evening.

This is just the beginning though. Summer now stretches in front of us, full of promise. Two whole months of sun, sea and Sotogrande! What could be better?
