Happy Holiday Season
This the Season to be jolly’, and nowhere is that more true than here, in Sotogrande this Christmas! Never before have I seen residents and visitors alike embrace the Christmas holiday spirit as much as they have this year. From the Alto to the Costa, luxury villas and apartments are festooned in festive decorations as locals get creative with their tinsel and fairy lights! The port tower’s illuminations can be seen from far away, and nobody can miss the spectacular Christmas Tree in the Marina, decorated with 4,500 bulbs; one for every resident here in Sotogrande.
Hats off to Sotogrande SA for not only spoiling us with these visual delights, but for also arranging a Calendar jam-packed full with fun Christmassy events for all the family. We have already enjoyed the lightening of the tree and the opening of Santa’s House in the Marina. The International School has dazzled us with their vocal talents at their Chorus Evening and invited us in for a day of retail therapy at their Christmas Market.
More excitement is to come as the newly refurbished La Reserva Golf Club opens its doors today with its very own Ice Ring and night of live music. For the sporty among us, the Christmas Golf Tournament will do the rounds at La Reserva Golf Course on the 19th and the Christmas Charity Race is open to all on the 20th down in the Port. Then as we head into Christmas Eve, the Ke Bar will be hosting a night of Carols and Champagne for all its patrons. A night that cannot be missed!
It has been great to see so many of our Sotogrande friends out and about over the last few weeks and we look forward to seeing more of you over the Christmas Holidays.
