LPA Event in Marbella: Shaping the Future of the Property Market

More than 600 attendees for their company and support in the successful first day organised by the association “Market Report 2023”, held on the 30th of November.

The LPA – The Leading Property Agents of Spain is an association of well-established, professionally qualified and reputable real estate agents bound by a shared code of ethics, who are dedicated to providing a highly personal and professional quality service to their buyer and seller clients.

Around 600 real estate agents gathered at a remarkable event organized by the Leading Property Agent Association (LPA) in Marbella. As pioneers in the property industry, the LPA addressed pressing issues, set the course for the future, and promoted collaboration between professionals. The event served as a platform for discussing crucial topics, with a focus on protecting the industry from unprofessional practices and preparing for the challenges and opportunities of 2024.

Protecting Professionalism: A key theme of the event was the need for estate agents to shield themselves from unprofessional practices to secure the trust of their clients. The President of the LPA emphasized the importance of upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of professionalism within the industry. There was unanimous support for this call to action, with all attendees favoring improved and rigorous training to enhance the skills and integrity of estate agents.

Need for Qualified Training Programs: Participants unanimously underlined the need for comprehensive and continuous training programs for real estate agents. This shared commitment to continuous improvement bodes well for the future of the property sector in Marbella and beyond for the property industry as a whole.

Looking ahead to 2024: Anticipation filled the air as property professionals eagerly discussed the prospects for 2024. The event provided a platform for in-depth discussions among leading figures from banks, notary offices, agencies, and property developers. Underpinned by meaningful statistics, an optimistic mood prevailed.

The shared exchange of insights and forecasts painted a picture of a promising year ahead, instilling confidence in estate agents, buyers, and sellers alike.

Making New Contacts and Exchanging Information: In addition to the formal discussions and presentations, the event also served as a reunion for colleagues whose paths had not crossed for a long time. Networking was in full swing during and after the panel discussions. I was particularly pleased to meet some old colleagues again after a long time.

Colleagues seized the opportunity to share experiences, discuss market trends, and make connections that could potentially lead to future collaborations.

The LPA event in Marbella was a testament to the commitment of property professionals to ensure the integrity and success of their industry. From tackling current challenges to charting the course for the future, the event exemplified the collaborative spirit essential for a thriving property market. I left the event with positive signals and expectations for 2024, marking a promising development for the property landscape in our region.
